How did we start
STORY
At the beginning we were just having fun during break time making high power electric bikes and customizing a Super Cub to move by electrical power.
One day while we were having fun riding an electric skateboard that we had made, we were amused by how practical it was. And wanting to ride legally on Japanese public roads, we decided to develop an electrical kickboard that fits all the regulation.
After reading up the Safety Standards, and making multiple prototypes, the model of Sunameri was finished in 2018.
We started a cloud funding at Campfire from February of 2019. And with many supporters for this challenge, we became able to put Sunameri into the market.
Being always in the closed industry of racing and
having fun around with car things, getting to know that people wanted the product we developed in such a way made us very happy.
We had struggled about the construction of our first time mass production system, and we kept trying in many ways to produce those orders in an efficiently without lowering the quality of each element. Little by little we have managed to start to sell those vehicles. During this process we were able to connect with many people and received a lot of feedback. With the care of many people, this model has grown as a reflection of all the passion put into this vehicle.

FEATURES
Carbon fiber monocoque
On the whole body, we are luxuriously using carbon fiber monocoque, a light and strong material used on road bikes and airplanes. We can only produce it because of our experience with carbon molding that we earned from the racings. The shape of the battery box is similar to the bottom of a boat and is structured with carbon fiber monocoque, and summing with the flexibility of the whole vehicle, it helps to balance your body to ride smoothly even on bumpy roads.
Suspension
On the front tires we are using a carbon fiber plate suspension that we developed. It aims to the balance of the vehicle, as it made possible to use less quantity of pieces,
lower the body weight, and the under sprung weight. Which helped to put the center of balance base on a lower level.
Performance
We put effort into making it turn and stop properly. To be able to turn corners, you do will not move the handlebar, but instead put your body weight on the side that you want to turn. The sensation is that you are surfing or snowboarding on the road. It is very a different sensation from other kinds of road vehicles.
From the development to production all steps were considering at Japanese road requirements. If you have a car driving license that is valid in Japan, you can legally ride on Japanese roads after applying for the registration for a minicar.

You can fold the handle post using a lever, and roll the front tires to move it. It is helpful when you want to put inside of the trunk of your car.
Sunameri
Sunameri(Finless porpoise) is a small dolphin.
In our prefecture, Mie, we have many beautiful beaches with Sunameri living on them.
We were inspired by its minimalistic beautiful silhouette, swimming relaxed around the calm and beautiful sea.
It's small body, soft and glossy texture, agile and smooth movements fits our vehicles features.
